About Bayside Cabin

Let me introduce you to Bayside Cabin Restaurant, better known locally as Bayside Cabin, a relaxed café-style spot sitting right along Stokes Bay Rd in Alverstoke, Gosport. From the moment you arrive, the setting does a lot of the talking, with coastal air, open views, and an easygoing rhythm that makes it feel like a natural pause in your day rather than a planned stop. Bayside Cabin works beautifully as a casual café, whether you’re dropping in after a walk along the seafront or meeting friends for an unhurried catch-up. There’s outdoor seating for those sunny or breezy days, and the atmosphere stays friendly and informal without trying too hard. The menu leans into flexibility, which is part of the charm, offering everything from a quick bite and small plates to more considered, healthy options that don’t feel restrictive. Coffee plays a central role here, but it’s not just about caffeine; you’ll also find beer, wine, and spirits available, making it just as suitable for a relaxed afternoon drink as it is for a morning visit. Service options are designed to fit real life, so you can dine in and soak up the surroundings, grab takeout when you’re on the move, or even opt for delivery when staying nearby. Onsite service keeps things smooth and welcoming, and there’s a clear focus on making guests comfortable rather than rushing them through. What stands out most about Bayside Cabin is how naturally it fits into the day, shifting easily from coffee stop to casual dining space, and offering a laid-back experience that feels consistent, approachable, and refreshingly simple. It often attracts a mix of locals and visitors, which gives the space a lively yet comfortable flow throughout the day, and the café vibe stays consistent no matter how busy it gets, keeping conversations easy and the mood relaxed.

This is a brilliant cafe, the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Nice and clean, children and families welcome, they even have some colouring in for the kids to do and were very warm and helpful. It's situated right on the beach, the view is really lovely. We were a party of 5, 3 adults and 2 children, I had the burger which was delicious and the other two had pie, veg and mash both were impressed by the quality of the food and didn't have to wait long either. Parking right next to the cafe also. We will definitely be coming again.

Well done to all the staff for coping with a group of 16 walkers on a very busy day for them. I only had drinks but a couple of people had bacon baps which looked great. I had called ahead to warn them that we were coming.

Amazing views plenty of choice and can be busy weekend and holidays. A bit pricey but the location makes it worth it and the staff are so friendly. The food is good and the atmosphere is usually buzzing with happy people. Don't forget to pay for parking which was £1.70 an hour !! Toilets for customers only and fairly clean.

A Hidden Gem by the Beach in Gosport Absolutely beautiful place right by the beach, perfect for a relaxing meal with a view. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We didn’t have to wait long for our food, which was a nice bonus. Everything we ordered was delicious and clearly made with care. It is a bit on the pricier side, so more of a treat than an everyday stop, but definitely worth it for the quality and location. Would happily go back again, a great spot to unwind and enjoy good food by the sea

Haven’t been here in forever. Was visiting my dad and we had a family lunch. Perfect sandwiches and then for dessert I had the Biscoff waffle which I wasn’t expecting to be this big but so worth the money, absolutely delicious. We all had a wonderful lunch!

We booked here for the Festive Afternoon Tea. After we’d eaten and went to pay, we were told it was the first festive one they’d done and asked for feedback, well... It was absolutely unreal. There was so much choice. We were told the head chef had baked everything fresh that morning, and what a good job she had done! The cheese straw and sausage roll was to die for. The sandwiches were so thick and no sparse filling in sight! Unlike most afternoon teas where the sandwiches are tiny, these were something else! So tasty, the turkey was very moist too. The scone was extremely fresh and the mulled wine+berry jam was stunning! The macaroons 10/10. The biscuits so soft and tasty. We actually haven’t eaten the rest because it was so filling but we brought home the Stollen, Yule Log and the mince pies (all look like they are going to be tasty too ) Highly recommend this - but all food we see come out to other tables looked lovely too. Will definitely be back again. Worth the journey!
